Artist Opportunity

Call for Entries: CraftForms 2009 - open to all professional artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood and/or mixed media. The Wayne Art Center, Wayne, PA 19087 announces a new online application for the CraftForms 2009, Wayne Art Center's 15 Annual international juried exhibition of contemporary craft. Elements Exhibition

ELEMENTary - the Basics: Air, Earth, Fire, Water is the current exhibition on display at the Cabarrus Arts Council Galleries in Concord, NC, and continues through August 13. The group invitational features works by four Piedmont Craftsmen exhibiting members: Chery Cratty, Andrew Goliszek, Susannah Ravenswing, and Ken Thomas. Other artists included in the show are: Syed Ahmad, Alice Ballard, Elizabeth Bradford, Clara Couch, Patrick Dougherty, Patrick Glover, Carmella Jarvi, Paul Keysar, Laird Lanier, Gretchen Lothrup, and Anatoly Tsiris.

An artists' reception is scheduled for Friday, June 26 (6 - 9 pm) in conjunction with the downtown Art Walk.

Susanna Ravenswing presents an Art Talk on Thursday, August 13, at 7 pm.

Artist Raves and Reviews

Congratulations to Roxane Lessa, fiber artist, who will have work in the 28th Annual Fabric of Legacies - Art Quilt Exhibition at the Lincoln Center Galleries in Fort Collins, Colorado. This exhibition is open from July 6 through August 28.
